Orland Newville & Pacific
(15", Orland, California)

Frank Allen in 1991 as he puts the final touches on the Sonoma, just before the Railfair at the California State RR Museum in Sacramento.

The elevated track running into the shop building at the south end of the Glenn County Fairgrounds in Orland.

The Davenport switcher right after its beautiful paint job was applied.

Frank posing with his engine in 2001.

This shot of the backhead was taken while the engine was brand new and before the tender. The tender has obviously been detached.

This construction photo is of the Sonoma's frame before the cylinders or boiler were installed. To the left are the front drivers. Notice the eccentrics on the axle. In the middle are the valve gear links. To the right are on set of wheels of the front pony truck.

Here we see the handsome editor (no comments please) of the Grand Scales Quarterly. He is proud to call the ONP his home railroad and is privileged to be a regular engineer there.
